South African National Championship Rd 2 (SA), Report by Akshay Patel:
"The 2nd round of the SA National Championship was held this past weekend and the fast paced, oiled yet bumpy track made for some awesome racing. Qualifying was touch and go. I did, however, manage to sneak in a TQ run in the last round of qualifying to secure overall TQ.
Rain in the early hours of Sunday morning meant the track was drastically different from the previous day and in the first leg I just tried to hang on to my car, drive slowly and was able to take the win. After a few changes, my car felt better in the second leg and I was again able to take the win to secure the overall win as well as my maiden national championship. I decided to run the 3rd round just for fun and was also able to win the third and final leg."
Overall results:
TQ/1st: Akshay Patel - Tekno EB48.4
2nd: Warren van der Merwe
3rd: Ryan Carlyle
MWRCT Come Back Race (US), report by Jared Wiggins:
"This weekend I went out to Thunder Road For the MWRCT Come Back Race! This would be my 8th consecutive race weekend continuing the streak! Arriving Saturday morning there was a TON of water everywhere from the night storms. Kevin Bronner and crew would bust their butts all morning to get us going. Great job by them!
I decided to race all 3 Buggy, Truggy, and E-Buggy and after 4 hectic rounds of quals I was able to TQ all 3 classes! Onto the mains, I would be race 6, 8, 9 and 10, with double E-Buggy mains and 45 min nitro mains I got 150 minutes of runtime almost all back to back! After a close battle with Mike in A1, he would take the win by a couple seconds. In A2 I was able to stay smooth and win by about a lap taking the overall E-Buggy win!
In Truggy I was able to cruise to a 3 lap lead and after the last pit had a bit of an issue having to limp the car around for 7 mins but was able to hang on for another win! In Nitro Buggy, I would start a little rough but battle back to win by 2 laps! Quality Motors also put up $100 per class to win allowing me to take home some cash with the clean sweep! Thanks Ryan! All My equipment performed extremely well and felt perfect all day, I'm very happy with my program! Thanks to Kylie for coming and helping (also being a beautiful trophy girl), my parents for coming and helping me run all 3 classes and all my sponsors for their support! Also, shout out to Brian Hopkins for coming through with a few parts, you're the man!"

New RC 2017 Championship Series Round 5 (TH), report by Witsarut Roumlarp:
“The 5th round of New RC's Championship series was held this past weekend at New RC track in Bangkok, Thailand. This is one of the biggest events in Thailand.
In the Nitro Buggy class, I was able to win both qualifying rounds and managed to start 3rd in the 45 minute long A main final. Unfortunately, due to a flame out early in the race, I fell back from third to fifth. With consistent laps, I was able to work to the second position and fight for the lead. After the first pit stop, I took the lead and stretched it to a comfortable margin, ultimately winning the race."
Overall results:
1st: Witsarut R. - Tekno NB48.4
2nd: Mongkolphan L
3rd: Bruce Lee
Castiglione Della Pescaia Charity Race (IT), report by Giacomo Pierini:
“Off-Road track Castiglione Della Pescaia suffered a fire recently that destroyed the nearby pine forest and part of the track, for this reason a support race was held this past weekend. The track is very technical with a lot of jumps and requires consistency and patience. Not being able to practice Saturday made things even more difficult as I showed up on Sunday morning but my EB48.4 was on point right away. During the day the track developed some character with bumps and ruts but nevertheless, I was able to qualify third for the main. I was able to take the overall win by winning A1 and A3 with some consistent driving and good pace. My EB48.4 performed flawlessly and was very fast throughout the day. Time to prepare for the Italian nationals at the beautiful Alseno track!"
Overall results:
1st: Giacomo Pierini - Tekno EB48.4
2nd: Alessandro Tognoni
3rd: Andrea Martinelli
4th Bawu Cup Race (DE), report by Ioannis Evdoridis:
“This past weekend the 4th Bawu Cup, a controlled tire event, was held at MCC Laupheim track. Practice went well and started with wet conditions and drying up shortly after. Three qualifying rounds were run and our NT48.3 Truggies were fast and easy to drive no matter what the conditions were.... Unfortunately, dues to bad weather the finals were canceled so final results were based on qualifying. Thanks to all Tekno RC drivers that attended the race and congratulations for their results!"
Overall results:
TQ/1st: Marco Eisner - Tekno NT48.3
2nd: Danny Ioannis Evdoridis - Tekno NT48.3
3rd: Joachim Bösch
