What caught our attention first about Marcus White’s Traxxas XO-1 was its hot paint job–which we discovered upon reading his letter is not paint at all, but a custom vinyl wrap–that decorates this hottest of all on-road cars with the logo of that most beloved of miniature car brands: Hot Wheels. While not officially a Hot Wheels creation, its hard to imagine this beast looking–or performing–hotter, thanks to a host of underbody upgrades. Marcus, of Petersburg, VA, treated his XO-1 to a Leopard Hobby 5682 1360kV motor controlled by a Castle Creations XL2 (mounted on a High Gear RC mount) and powered by a pair of MaxAmps 4S 4000mAh Lipos. He also installed a full set of Ceramic Lightning Ultra Seal Bearings from Boca Bearings. He controls things with a Futaba 4PX radio. Given the XO-1’s 100+mph potential, we can only imagine what kind of number Marcus can lay down with his hopped up Hot Wheels version!
