Traxxas is billing the all-new Aton as “your personal video assistant,” and they’re putting a strong emphasis on ease of use with autonomous flight capabilities via dual-mode GPS and “no need for any specialized skill or experience.” While photography and videography are a big selling point for the Aton (and the drone scene in general), Traxxas hasn’t forgotten the fun-to-fly factor and is also promoting the Aton’s high-performance Sport and Expert flight modes. Two models are offered: the Aton with a fixed camera mount option with 3000mAh 3S LiPo (#7908, around $420) and the Aton Plus with a two-axis gimbal and 5000mAh LiPo (#7909, around $525).
