Of all the RC events that happen across the country, RCX is the only one that brings everyone together – company CEO’s, factory racers, customer service representatives, and product engineers are all here to mingle with consumers walking the show floor. Here are some of the faces we tracked down earlier today.
2010 IFMAR 1/8-scale world champion Cody King and his fiancée, Holly, are walking the show and visiting the booths of Cody’s sponsors.
These handmade R2-D2 robots have been doing laps up and down the aisles!
Novak Electronics is a staple of the RCX show – this year they’ve made the trip from Irvine, CA to show off new products like the Vulcan brushless motors, which come in 17.5-turn and 7.5-turn winds.
Charlie Suangka is a familiar face to many electric racers; he often attends events to support Novak’s team drivers and customers. To his left is Adnan Khan, an engineer who plays a pivotal role in the development of each of Novak’s new products.
Horizon Hobby’s Try-Me track has been abuzz all day long, with children and adults alike taking a turn behind the wheel with ECX and Losi vehicles.
You may not recognize these two guys, but you’ve seen their work! Josh (left) and Brad Bertrand are the hands behind Fatty Grafx, and have painted many of the vehicles you’ve seen in recent issues of RC Car Action!
GET DOWN! There’s Charlie everywhere! The RC tank exhibit is complete with structures and figurines that bring the vintage war vehicles to life.

JConcepts’ Dave Duncan trekked all the way from Florida to show off their newest wares, including a ribbed front tire for the Team Associated SC10B.
Horizon Hobby Field Marketing Manager and Losi 1/5-scale guru John Schultz has been running ragged around Horizon’s many demos scattered about the RCX show floor. Apparently his mother never told him that his face was going to stick that way!
Electronic music aficionados Tekno RC have decorated their booth in the theme of a dance club, but its the products inside that have created the biggest buzz. Check back for interviews with CEO Daniel Lewis about the company’s new nitro-powered 1/8-scale buggy and truck!
