Kyle Taylor sent us pictures of his Tamiya Mountaineer which he bought and built way back in 1993. The truck looks pretty mint for being old enough to legally buy a beer! (You know — if RC trucks could drink beer…or buy stuff.) It even still has the original RS-750-SH motor and transmission. Kyle upgraded to a Futaba Attack 4 radio for more reliability and signal strength. To give it some extra visual appeal he bolted on a set of RC Channel alloy wheels wrapped in IMEX G-Hawg tires. The original body has long since been retired to the RC junkyard (hey, ’80s Toyota truck bodies only live so long — no matter what scale!) But Kyle replaced it with a Tamiya Hilux high-lift body and it looks right at home. This is a great survivor truck — we love to see it going strong after so many years.
