FROM RPM: IMAGES AND ADDED INFO ON ROCK CRAWLING WHEELS
The explosive growth of the rock crawler market as well as strong consumer demand has led RPM to the development of these new crawler-specific wheels.
Most crawler owners have been searching for options and RPM has what they want. Narrower wheel widths, two different wheelbase (backspacing) options, strong hex drives that can handle the torque output by many of these brushless beasts All of these options are incorporated into our designs.
We start with two of the most popular RPM wheel styles currently available the Clawz and the Revolvers. RPM crawler-specific wheels are 0.4 (10mm) narrower (in width) than a stock 2.2 wheel. This allows the tire to balloon up, rounding out the profile of the tire and providing more side bite with the tire tread. We then created each of these wheels in either a wide wheelbase 0.28 (7.1mm) backspace option or a narrow wheelbase 0.69 (17.5mm) backspace option. These different wheelbases provide the options of either a wide & stable wheelbase or a narrow, creep through any crevice wheelbase. The final bit of crawler specific attention these wheels got was our attention to a strong hex drive. The walls surrounding the 12mm hex drive of our wheels are ultra beefy! Coupled with a hex area that fits superbly to almost all hex adapters, RPM has come up with some of the best, most durable rock crawler wheels currently available. We round out this laundry list of details with a miniscule price anyone will love.
