I’m hanging out this weekend at the Monster Jam World Finals in Las Vegas where I am covering and competing in the RC Monster Jam World Finals. The RC Monster Jam Crew set up a track on the grounds of the pit party and are racing monster trucks all three days that the pit party is being put on. Each day is run like a full-size Monster Jam event. The day starts with everyone setting a qualifying time in each lane then the program moves on to racing. Once racing has been completed it’s time for freestyle and that’s when the crowd grows. Here are some photos from the weekend.
The starting line has a gate just like the one used for the full-size trucks. Pro-Line concrete barriers add to the scale look.
Each truck was assigned a body to represent the full-size truck that was invited to the finals.
Monster Jam sent over a professional announcer to talk to the crowd and let them know what was going on.
Freestyle is something that the entire crowd was into.
Some of our drivers were interviewed by Monster Jam.
I managed to build two trucks to run at the even this year. A bunch of small problems have kept me from moving past the first round.
Some of the Monster Jam drivers made their way over to see the 1/10-scale version of their truck. Here’s Rosalee Ramer with the replica of the Wild Flower truck that she drives.
Pro-Line is also at the RC World Finals and they have some new goodies for the monster truck crowd. A new “cut” Clod size monster truck tire is now available and it’s called the Devastator. They are also going to rerelease their Ford F250 body which is something that will make many solid axle guys happy.
The crowd at the RC Monster Jam World Finals is the largest that you’ll find at the Pit Party.
And here are more pics from this awesome event!
