Congratulations to all the racers, Byron Fuels, and Leisure Hours for making this yet another successful event. It’s pretty unique how mellow the overall vibe is even with cash payouts on the line. People are all helping their fellow driver, and the focus is on fun. Everything was very organized, and ticked off like clockwork all weekend.
Impressive to see guys like Paolo Morganti not only compete in all three classes, but podium all three! Morganti really put on a clinic, especially piloting Serpent’s new GT release, the Cobra. That car looked like it was on rails all weekend.
While attendance at some onroad races might be seeing a decline in some areas, it’s events like this that breathe life into this hobby. During the mains on Sunday, there were a handful of people that were totally new to the scene that were stopping by to check out what was going on. It’s awesome to watch them take it all in, and smile from ear to ear in total awe.
