2017 is under way and with it the start of another year of racing including the 30th Annual CRCRC Winter Midwest Championships held at the Ohio RC factory. Held on January 4th through January 8th, the event was an early showcase for the Factory and Privateer racers. With all the team changes among many top drivers, it’s not surprising to see a few of the big guns come out with some serious speed in an attempt to make a big statement. With over 350 race entries, the racing was highly competitive. However, this year’s event saw TLR’s Dakotah Phend take the highly coveted Modified 2WD and 4WD Buggy classes, with Kyosho’s Jared Tebo taking the Modified Stadium Truck class.
