DHK Brings the Bang-For-The-Buck with the 4X4 Hunter SCT–We Drive It First!

26 September, 2013

DHK’s wide lineup of models includes buggies, monster trucks, and stadium trucks, but until now, no short-course models. The Hunter SCT fills the short-course slot with two versions, a brushed-power machine that will hit stores at just $199, and the brushless Hunter BL, which will land at $299.  With the exception of a center differential for the BL and different body graphics, both trucks offer identical specs–and it’s quite a list, especially for the price. Universal-joint driveshafts, full ball bearings, full-time 4WD, big-bore shocks, and fully adjustable 1/8-scale-style suspension are all standard, as is a 2.4GHz radio system.  The Hunter is also standard 1/10 scale, and will accept popular aftermarket SC bodies and wheels, so go ahead and tear it up. DHK parts will be easy to find at Hobby People stores, but if you want to mix it up with other body, wheel, and tire combos, the Hunter is ready. Of course, the most important question is: how does it drive? We’ll let the video do the talking…
