Ken Takemoto from Dover Delaware sent us this serious looking Axial Wraith-based crawler with Jeep-inspired body panels hand-fabricated out of .025 aluminum sheet. The aluminum axles front and rear, steel drive shafts, and steel rollcage (modified) are all from Integy. RC4WD supplied the R2 transmission. The upper and lower links are sourced from AsiaTees. He rounded out hi first round of hardware upgrades with Poison Spyder diff covers, Traxxas Big Bore shocks, and a set of Pro-Line Super Swamper tires. In addition to the body, Ken also fabricated the pair of scale handcuffs hanging from the rear view mirror out of electrical terminal ends, and sat a custom-painted Wild Willy driver figure behind the wheel. He’s got more mods planned, but this crawler sees regular duty on the trail so it remains a work in progress.
