Getting a custom 6×6 truck to have the efficiency and range of motion to be a fully capable crawler can be a challenge, but Daniel Anguita wasn’t interested in a shelf-queen, so he put the work in. He grafted two sets of Axial SCX10 frame rails together with aluminum braces for the truck’s backbone. He spec’d 3 AR60 axles with heavy-duty gears and pinions, suspended by Traxxas big bore T-Maxx shocks. The 4-link setup on all the axles is custom made using steel tubing with Traxxas M4 rod ends. The transmission is all metal with HD Axial internals, and Pro Line Super Swamper tires ride on AlienTac 2.2 black-anodized aluminum wheels. The center axle diff uses a pass-through setup, so Daniel added a custom anti-torsion “rock bar” to resist torque twist that is inherent in that type of system. Power comes from a Castle Creations Mamba Monster X speed control running a 2400kV sensored motor. There’s also a powered winch, and ESS One+ sound system, and a steering wheel that turns with the wheels. The body uses a Tamiya Bullhead cab, but most of the rest is custom built from styrene. The other details are too numerous to list, but the photos give you a pretty fair idea!
