Big Scale – True Scale

19 August, 2020

Don thrives on taking RTR models and adding extra flair to make them look and drive better, then taking pro-grade photos of his creations. Here he started with a Losi Tenacity DB Pro with the Fox livery and began by upgrading the steering servo to a gold Savox SC-1257TG Super Speed titanium-gear digital unit attached to an Exotek Tenacity HD Pro steering assembly. The motor and esc are the factory pieces, but with a Fan Blaster 40mm alloy shroud also from Exotek. Because Don has a lot of sand to work with in Nevada so he chose Pro-Line Racing’s Short Course Bead-Loc wheels with Mohawk SC front tires and Slingshot SC paddles for the rear. He changed out the factory all white rear wing for black, carefully transferring the factory decals and repainted driver and passenger helmets as well. The right-seat navigator got a Rugged Radios communication system including a HD Go-Pro helmet camera, and he added a pair of scale roll cage-mounted fire extinguishers. He finished it off with a bunch of racing decals from MCI Racing.

Based on Losi Tenacity DB
