Richard Derry liked the nimble speed and scale character of the Axial Racing Exo Terra buggy, but he wanted something more unique so he converted his into a lookalike Trophy Truck inspired by the Toyota driven by Ivan “Iron Man” Stewart. As you can see from the body-off shot, Richard added a bunch of aluminum parts from AsiaTees. The wheels and tires are Duratrax Six Pack short-course truck rolling stock. Richard controls his creation with Spektrum radio gear running a Savox 1258 steering servo. A truck like this needs proper power, so he chose a Castle Creations 2400kV motor coupled to the Axial version of the Castle Mamba Monster controller. In the background you can see what a fan of the Iron Man Richard is — he also has HPI’s version of Ivan Stewart’s trophy truck!
