We also work hard to lower our prices on everything we sell, especially older stock or inventory that is no longer available or discontinued. Finally, we work extra long hours during the week leading up to, and after, the sale. These extra man hours are needed because of all the extra customer service calls, emails, and the extra hands needed to dig out inventory and get it listed online, ship and receive packages, process orders, answer phones, etc.

Black Friday originally was a whole weekend event, however in the past few years, it has somehow morphed into two holidays: Black Friday, and Cyber Monday... the idea being that on Monday you can find even better deals by shopping online.
Sometimes on Cyber Monday you will find even better savings than Black Friday. Some brands even hold off on their discounts until Cyber Monday, keeping Black Friday out of the loop completely. Others stretch the savings from Black Friday all the way to December, or maybe even beyond.
