The 2018 IFMAR Worlds and What the Pro’s Used

16 November, 2018

The IFMAR World events always bring out the best drivers, companies, and teams all with the same goal in mind… a world title. From bodies, tires, accessories, prototype parts, etc. everyone is striving for the best package and if you look at any of the Pro’s cars, they’re decked out to the max! Here’s a quick look at some of the JConcepts factory team drivers and what they used at the 2018 IFMAR Worlds in Perth, Australia.

Ryan Maifield – Pole Position (3rd place overall)

One of the most explosive drivers to watch on the track is Ryan Maifield. Although he didn’t TQ a round in qualifying, he was at the front in almost every qualifier. When it came time for the semi-finals, he set the fastest time and was on pole for the for the 1 hour main with JConcepts teammate, David Ronnefalk starting 2nd. Here’s a list of JConcepts accessories that you can almost always find on RM’s rides.

*** The prototype S15 body and Blocker tires that Maifield/Ronnefalk/Cavalieri ran at the Worlds will be available later, but for now, the Silencer body and Stalker tires are a very close option. Please choose Stalker compound best suited for your home track and/or racing surface accordingly.

However, a clutch issue starting 2nd on the grid took David out of the battle for the win. Ryan Cavalieri – (5th place overall)

It was an uncharacteristically slow start for Ryan Cavalieri at this year’s Worlds, but on the final few days, something really clicked and we saw Cavalieri shoot his way towards the front of the pack. When the pressure was on, Cavalieri’s performance was undeniable as the 4-time WC started 6th in the main and finished in the top 5 with a 5th overall and a huge turn around for Cav.
