JR Mitch and Tony Pattishall win Hang Over Classic

06 January, 2010

Racing with a Hang Over is never fun unless it is in Daytona Beach, FL.  For the 5th year in a row the East Coast R/C Club hosted the annual Hang Over Classic. Although serious racers always put their best foot forward and maintain only the healthiest New Years rituals, the East Coast Club has been able to blend a unique element of the New Year with an annual race event.

JR Mitch, fresh off his solid performance at the JConcepts Clash went back to work in 2010 and picked up right where he left off.  Utilizing the full compliment of JConcepts products JR managed to take TQ running the newly released Subcultures in blue compound.  For the A-final event JR took a large lead early and looked to press his RC8b buggy to the limits.  Subcultures proved to be the perfect choice for the wet / dry condition and provided an advantage throughout while finishing nearly 4 laps ahead of the competition.

Not to be forgotten, Tony Pattishall driving the Mugen MBX6-T looked superb in qualifying in the 1/8th truck class.  Tony utilizing the proven Cross Hairs tires, Mono wheel and Illuzion body combination was the force in the A-final while a battle heated up early.  In the end, Tony’s consistency paid off with crafty driving and top notch products Tony crossed the finish line a winner for his first win in 2010.

Congratulations to all the winners and the East Coast R/C Club on another great event.
