JConcepts Doubles at Toys for Tots
301 Raceway and Hobby hosted its inaugural Toys for Tots event on Saturday December 20th. The show of support was amazing with 105 entries as many racers throughout Florida showed up baring gifts in one hand and their racing gear in the other. The day was filled with great racing, raffle prizes, and a 50/50 fun race. Many of the top drivers came out to show their support and put on a great show.
The 2wd modified class would see a dominating performance by JConcepts very own Jason Ruona. Jason’s JC equipped RC10B5M was on point all day as he would take the TQ honors and the wire to wire win, teammate Paul Wynn would go on to secure the P2 position with his JC equipped RC10B5M, and JConcepts teammate JR Mitch would round out the podium with his JC equipped TLR22 2.0.
The 4wd modified class was easily the best race of the day. It would see 3 of Florida’s best racers battling lap after lap for an entire 6 minutes! TQ holder Daimon Borkowicz would lead off early with his JC equipped B44.3, but after a small mistake a three way battle would ensue with JR Mitch, Billy Easton, and Daimon. When the dust settled, JR would take his JConcepts equipped TLR 22-4 to the top spot, followed by Daimon in 2nd, and Billy rounding out the podium in 3rd.
